A ghost print is often favored over the first printing for its subtle shades. The mood is tranquil. This look is achieved by printing the first print from a plate filled with ink, then printing with the same plate without adding ink. The printer's reference of “ghost” is that the plate has a second life without reapplying ink. This etching is painted with pale watercolor washes on archival, buff paper with the Arches watermark.
